The Mower's, Muirs, Hoskins, and Banry Trip

We just got back from a very fun filled, BUSY, Sleepless weekend with our friends. We stayed in Lake Las Vegas with the Muir's and Hoskins, in a cute little condo. It was just big enough for all of us! The Banry's brought their trailer and camped a few miles away. We got to Vegas late on Friday night. We got up at 6:30, left the house at 7:00, and were on the lake at about 8:30. Our friends the Searles met us at the lake with their 13 people. We sent JMo and JHO on the boat with the Searles. We had 17 people on our boat, 18 is the limit. In all we had 36 people camped out on the lake that day. We drove the boat out to our usual spot and set up camp for the day. We had a fun filled day of wakeboarding, tubing, kneeboarding, and wakesurfing! It was probably one of the most beautiful days we have ever had on the lake. The water was glass all day long! On Sunday, we went out with the Muirs and the Hoskins. We set up camp on a nice little sandy beach. We were only going to stay half day, but the boys got caught out on the lake, and we had our first injury on the boat. Yes, Jordon Hosking blew his head open (as Leonard put it). Of course, we had no supplies. We started to pack it up and head back to the dock. We were trying to meet Bert and Maggie for a nice dinner at their home, which we were very late for! Sorry Bert! When we got back to the room, we started making calls to find someone who might have stitches we could use. Daleen called her friend Stephanie, who put a call in to a friend, and by 10:00 that night, we were stitching up Hoskins head in the kitchen of the condo. I think he got 8 stitches, took a vicodin, and was finally feeling better. Our dinner was great with Bert and Maggie. We had these phenomenal steak sandwiches! Wow! And the potato salad was to die for! We always look forward to our time with them. Bert, of course, gave the kids money, and Ethan scored a fishing pole. He was jumping up and down in excitement. I have never seen a kid so excited for something ever! On Monday, we slept in, and got on the lake at about 10:00. The Banry's came with us, and we had another FUN FUN FUN day. Allison took care of Ethan while I spent time on the boat with the kids. She gave her nectarine to keep her happy! and regular too (for the trip home!) The kids all kneeboarded behind Scott's boat, while Rob took the big kids out wakeboarding. Brooks caught a snake while we were there! She is my idol! JHo and Ethan caught a carp, and later on Taylor caught a catfish. Ethan spent all day fishing with his steak bits that Bert made him. We finally wrapped the steak in provolone cheese, and that is what caught the catfish. They were both over a foot long! Pretty big. We ended the night going to Cheesecake factory, which was so yummy! If only we all weren't so tired. The kids were sleeping all over the tables and chairs. We had so much fun visiting with friends and family! We are so glad they all came out with us for a marathon Mower adventure!
