My Birthday

I am so grateful to have good friends! The day started with a lovely lunch at Stonefire. Samantha surprised me with my favorite cupcakes from Bake U Happy. They are adult ding dongs! YUM! Then I was off to get a pedicure with Daleen. Even better! Then ended with a nice sushi dinner with the family! Thanks everyone for making my day special!

Building the Jungle Gym!

My sweet hubby thought it would be fun to use our old pipes from the horse corrals and build the kids a swingset and jungle gym. It took months, a few injuries, and almost death to finish, but here it is, and the kids love it. It stands 12 feet tall and the platform is 7 feet above the ground. We ordered the slide, which cost more to ship than the slide itself. But the kids can say their dad built it for them!

Citizenship Award

Taylor received the student of the month award for Citizenship. We are so proud of her. Mrs. Graff talked about how Taylor is always respectful, helpful, honest, and kind. All the qualities of a good citizen. Go TAYLOR!

Rattlesnake Season

Here it is, officially our first rattle snake of the season. We were all hanging out outside, and Ethan came running to us screaming "I found a rattle snake, come quick!" I thought he was crazy, but sure enough, he was poking around with a stick and found one under our propane tank!

LDS Prom

I'm a little late on the posts, so here are some updates. LDS Prom was so much fun. I don't know if it was more fun for me or for Jordan. Jordan went with a beautiful girl, Florencia. They met at speed dating, and have had a lot of fun together. Rob and I were fortunate enough to have been able to chaperone the prom for the second year. The prom was at the Gene Autry Museum, so we were supposed to dress up in that period. Needless to say we went overboard, but it was soooo much fun!

New York City Trip!

We just got back from a visit to the East Coast. We had so much fun! We surprised Rob's childhood friend James for his 40th birthday. It was months in planning and he had no clue! We stayed with them in Connecticut for a couple of days, then went on to Manhattan. In connecticut, we ate yummy food, went to the park, went to the aquarium, and ate some more! Then we were off to New York in the 12 passenger van! We visited the Empire State Building, Ground Zero, The Statue of Deliberty (That's what Ethan calls it), FAO Schwartz, Tiffanys, Times Square, saw Central Park, Grand Central Station (No not my home!), went to a street fair, and rode the subway! It was lots of fun, lots of walking, and we were beat by the end of the vacation! Thanks to James for showing us a great time, and being our master navigator! WARNING: Lots of pictures in the slideshow......sorry!

Pinewood Derby

Here is Jacob with this years last minute Pinewod Derby car, which he took 2nd place! Not to shabby for building it on the way to scouts that evening!
